It Made My Day

When you receive an unexpected act of kindness it can really make your day.

It was my birthday last week and when I went to the letterbox yesterday this is what greeted me.

It was from my dear friend Sophie, in Kent.  Can you imagine how great I felt receiving such a lovely present?  It made my day.  Here is the beautiful card ... quintessentially English.

And I can't forget another dear London friend, Paula who sent me a new iPhone cover earlier in the week.

How lucky I am to have such beautiful friends.

  1. Hello there, thankyou for visiting my blog and it's lovely to meet another Aussie! Your blog looks great and I will be very interested to see how you get on back in your Brisbane home. We don't know how long we will be here in U.K. but whenever we return home I am looking forward to setting up home in my house again in Melbourne. At the moment my two older kids are living in it...so it's 'party central' as they are 21 and 23!!! So I know I will have to re-paint etc., plus I'm collecting some goodies whilst here so in a way I can't wait to display them and foof around in the house. However, I have a real soft spot for QLD having lived in Yeppoon for three years and would love to return to sunny QLD to live at some time! My dream is to live in old Queenslander, however my hubby just rolls his eyes, so that may never happen! Robx
p.s. you should have had a blog whilst you were living in London...so many great photo ops!!

  2. Thanks Robynne. Enjoy every minute of your time in London and don't worry about 'party central'.
If you get a chance try to visit my old stomping ground in Battersea. There are some beautiful shops along Northcote Road and its side streets including Cath Kidston, Cabbages & Roses, and some lovely independent vintage shops... sigh!
    Cheers Kylie x
